Greetings …
I've had this web address for a long time now. Originally it was for my music quiz, then I used it to try and sell those quizzes, after which I tried to create a page for when I stood as a councillor in a local election. However, none of these ever reaped any benefit (I lost!).
I didn't want to lose the email/site address ~ and paying $20 a month for just that didn't seem suitable (only costing me about £11 a month until Brexit!) ~ so I've decided to use it as a place to store my life story, and as somewhere to express my opinions and views on certain matters. I don't care if no-one else is interested in it ~ but should I live long enough to succumb to some illness such as dementia or Alzheimer's, then it might become a useful tool to remind me who I am, or, at least, who I was. It might also be interesting for my grandchildren to read … once they're old enough to do so!
I doubt anyone will pay much attention to it, but that's not really the point. I've learnt over the past 60+ years that you can only change people's opinions if they are open to change ~ and modern society has evolved to the level where people's opinions are influenced through a bombardment of propaganda via advertising and social media, so they have a limited capacity to reach for the truth, and far too little enthusiasm to try.
So, this will be a bit of a life story, interspersed with opinions and ideas ~ somewhere for me to relieve anger and vent a little. We'll see. It hasn't been thought out or planned to any degree, so I'll just see where it takes me. I'm no expert at the page set-up scenario, and have had to make it suitable for reading on both pc and phone, so the layout will appear odd at times in both formats ... but it's the content that is more important than the aesthetics.
